报告摘要:In both fundamental research and technological applications, electric fields arerecognized as one of the simplest and most effective means of manipulation. However, because an electric field does not break time-reversal symmetry, time-reversal-odd phenomena remain relatively underexplored. In this talk, I will present unique mechanisms for electric-field manipulation of spins and Hall transport in 2D materials. We find that the 2D altermagnets with valley-mediated spin-layer coupling enables an electric field to generate an almost uniform effective magnetic field, thereby allowing efficient control of spin polarization. In addition, I will introduce the electric Hall effect (EHE) and the quantum electric Hall effect (QEHE) in two-dimensional magnetic systems, where a transverse current is induced by an electric gate field rather than by a magnetic field,which serves as a disruptive and attractive mechanism for electric field detection.

报告人介绍:

崔朝喜博士,2025 年博士毕业于北京理工大学,导师为姚裕贵教授、余智明教授。目前,在北京理工大学继续进行博士后研究工作。主要研究方向为基于对称性的拓扑物态和新奇物性。迄今,以第一作者、共同第一作者以及通讯作者发表SCI 论文10篇,包括 3篇 PRL、1篇 Nat.Commun和6篇PRB。
