报告摘要:Strong gravitational lensing by massive galaxies provides a unique observational tool for probing both the large-scale properties of the Universe and the internal mass structure of galaxies. Its sensitivity to geometry and mass distribution makes it one of the few astrophysical phenomena capable of simultaneously informing three major open problems in modern astronomy and cosmology: galaxy evolution, dark matter, and dark energy. This talk will present a model-independent approach to investigating the redshift evolution of mass distributions in strong-lensing galaxies. It will further discuss the cosmological significance of the strong-lensing distance ratio, highlighting its role in comparison with other lensing distance measures and its sensitivity to cosmological parameters. Finally, the talk will introduce a hierarchical framework based on strong-lensing distance ratios and show how it can be used to constrain dark energy models beyond the standard $\Lambda$CDM paradigm.
Dr. Shuaibo Geng obtained his Master’s degree from Beijing Normal University in 2021 and completed his PhD at the National Centre for Nuclear Research in Poland in 2026, under the supervision of Prof. Marek Biesiada. His research focuses on strong gravitational lensing, cosmology, and gravitational-wave lensing.
